How its made 3: The base372 viewsWhile the glue is wet, cover it all with crushed up sandstone.
I walked around the garden picking chunks of sandstone of three different colours - each progressively more red. These were then sorted and each colour individually crushed in a bag with an hammer. If you leave some lumps it give alot more realism that pure sand.
For vertical faces, hold your hand up as close to the vertical glue faces without touching it, then pour sandstone mix down between your hand and the glue.
