New Power Plant area1471 viewsI have thought for a while that the power plant taken from my last layout has been letting this one down. So, I have re designed that area. There is still some work to do - power station interior and building up the hill side to the edge of the station.

The Plan1324 viewsBasically the layout itself is 1900mm long and at one end 270mm wide, at the other 600mm wide. On top of this there is a control panel and 4 track traverser which will measure 475mm long and 270mm wide - the control panel can be positioned in one of 2 places, on the end (above where my computer is on my desk) when at home, or coming out of the back when the layout is at an exhibition (to save people at the exhibition space). The design is on three levels, rising up by 100mm over the zig-zaging mainline.

Ballasting and Groundwork828 viewsI have also ballasted the layed and painted track. In this shot you can see that i have also added some ground cover between the tracks leaving the layout.

Left Hill828 viewsScatters added to the hill on the left hand side of the layout. The colours dont match because the glue is not dried - it usually takes 2 to 3 weeks to completely dry.
This is the result of my small tutorial shots.

Rusting810 viewsThe track has been layed and wired on the front right 1/4 of the layout. It has also been given a coat of rust paint, the then brown sleepers were given a light overcoat of black to make them a deeper brown
