Threaded Rod = ?346 viewsBasically, my traverser will be moved side to side by a motor. I had to find a way to move the table top. I refined an ideaI saw on the small layout scrapbook to create this. Simply put, a threaded rod is place in bearings (from Maplin), and then 2 Bolts are put on. As the rod rotates, the bolts move one way or the other.

Cork Roadbed.343 viewsThe profile of the foam trackbed has been leveled and refined, especially around the pointwork (so they lie flat), and to make the gradient changes much smoother. Some areas are up to 15mm thick of cork (most areas are only 1.5mm) - just shows how much I've had to refine my carving.
