Backscene406 viewsI found a panorama on Google, which I got printed out by a UK company called "LMS Printing". It is a single sheet of paper 100" long, which was printed well and for a resonable price.
It is currently covered with a layer of cling film to protect it whilst the layout is constructed. After the layout is built the clingfilm will be removed.

How its made 2: Glue396 viewsPVA/Wood Glue is then spread to cover the entire foam block. This will not only glue the sand to the foam, but will seal the foam once dry, preventing it from deforming and causing the sand to crack.
You can also add a layer of interior filler before the glue to seal the foam, in this case, wait for a week to make sure the plaster has had some time to cure before applying the glue.

Control Panel Computer394 viewsThe computer has been integrated into the control panel, by using the screen from a broken laptop, and a tiny computer motherboard. This will run JMRI which will control the signalling, block detection, and pointwork on my layout.

Wiring393 viewsThe main bus wire, and block wires have been attached to the bottom of the layout. The track feeds will then be spliced onto the bus wires. The pair of Bunched wires in this shot will go down into the Current Sense block detectors.
