MDF Backscene282 viewsI have added on the MDF backscene to the layout. At the moment is is bare, but I have found a very friendly company called "LMS Printing" who are printing a large panorama that will strectch from one end of the layout to the other. This will allow for a seamless printed backscene, for a very small cost (only £16 inc delivery for an 100" long sheet).%700 %24, %2009

Sand slopes374 viewsI have built up a layer of sand to form a nice even slope between the passing loop above, and the river. This hides the small drop down from the passing loop%700 %24, %2009

Control Panel Computer394 viewsThe computer has been integrated into the control panel, by using the screen from a broken laptop, and a tiny computer motherboard. This will run JMRI which will control the signalling, block detection, and pointwork on my layout.%700 %24, %2009

Threaded Rod = ?346 viewsBasically, my traverser will be moved side to side by a motor. I had to find a way to move the table top. I refined an ideaI saw on the small layout scrapbook to create this. Simply put, a threaded rod is place in bearings (from Maplin), and then 2 Bolts are put on. As the rod rotates, the bolts move one way or the other.%700 %24, %2009
